‘Arab-Chinese Digital Library’ to be launched in Beijing Tuesday


BEIJING – The Arab League, King Abdulaziz Public Library and the National Library of China are set to launch the "Arab-Chinese Digital Library," here on Tuesday.  which was assigned to King Abdulaziz Public Library to be established The Arab League had assigned King Abdulaziz Public Library to set up the digital library.  The Arab League is a pioneer in promoting joint Arab action and developing Arab libraries. It has achieved numerous successes in the field of employing information technology in the service of Arab culture.  The library’s launch comes on the sidelines of the Arab-Chinese Cooperation Forum here to exchange sources of traditional and non-traditional information.  Director of the Arab-Chinese Digital Library Development Project Dr. Saleh Al-Misnad pointed out that the launch of the library will be an active start for Arab and Chinese cultures in a modern and attractive manner, noting that the library aims to establish the foundations of knowledge and cultural partnership.
